These 4 workout apps are ones that I own on my phone and use often. Along with these I also own a MoreFit fitness tracker to help. All these apps are free and available off the apple app store:
This app is simple to use and can automatically track your steps, distance moved and calories burned. If you are willing to put a little more effort into it, you can also use it to track weight loss, exercise, water intake and calories consumed. Due to this wide range of functions, this app is one of my “go tos” and its easy-to-use layout means it requires little effort. If you own a Fitbit it can be linked with the app, however, this is not a necessity and I find it functions okay without one. The option to connect with friends can also give you motivation.
7 Minute Workout Wahoo ★★★
Wahoo 7 Minute Workout provides simple and quick workouts. It is easy to use and has a built in timer. Despite this, the functionality is limited unless you are willing to pay and “Go Pro!”. If you are willing to upgrade, however, or don’t mind limited functions this app is great.
Intervals – Timer for HIIT, Tabata and Circuit ★★★★★
This app has one simple purpose; it is an interval timer, and executes this purpose very well. It has the functions to save Intervals, title workouts and name what each interval is for. In other words it has all the functions you expect a basic interval timer to have for free. Due to its pure simplicity, it is easy to use and works fantastically.
Seven – 7 Minute Workout Training Challenge ★★★★
Seven is one of my favourite workout apps as it Designs workouts to suit you. You also have the ability to sync with friends and see how to do the exercises during the workout, which is something the Wahoo version lacks. The only reason this is rated 4 stars instead of 5 is that it still lacks some functionality unless you are willing to pay.
