Water is necessary to humans and it is suggested that, to keep healthy, the average person should consume at least 8 glasses of water per day.  Here are 5 reasons why water is important:

1: Increases energy and focus

It is a well known fact that the human body is made up of a lot out of water, especially your brain. Because of this, your brain function is boosted when you are more hydrated. This means that you are able to think, function and focus better when you drink enough.

2: Stops you from over eating

People are commonly mistaken that they are hungry when in actual fact they are dehydrated. A glass of water before a meal can fill you up and stop you eating too much. So next time you are hungry have a glass of water first!

3: Improves skin and flushes out toxins

Water can help naturally moisturize your skin and flush toxins out of your body. This means you can stay healthy and your skin can stay fresh at no extra cost!

4:Balances fluids

Linking back to the first point that you body is around 60% water. This means to stay healthy you must keep this balance so that you can digest food properly, keep a normal body temperature and much more.

5: Save Money

Water is normally completely free, so why not make the most of it? It can provide a natural remedy for many problems and, most of all, keep you hydrated. If you keep a bottle of tap water on you at all times you’ll never have to buy a drink from the newsagents again!

For these reasons and many more water is a great and cheap way to stay healthy so why not make maximum use of it?
